This is funny to me for two reasons:
1. They're scared.
2. Hamilton is the most white bread candidate that you could ask for: a United Methodist minister who's written a ton of mainline-friendly Christian books and who was registered Republican as recently as 2020. He's not elevating queer issues.

i wish i were a part of a christian community that actively affirmed queer and trans people (i genuinely wish i could be episcopalian) but i have no choice in what church i go to because episcopalians "don't believe the bible"

I am referring to a shit ton of queer people obsessing and ruminating over Christian figures who distress them. I think, on some level, they want these people to love them, and they haven’t processed that these people want to murder them, so it manifests as the oddest kinks.

Its not surprising that the series that focuses on basically zero sensical storytelling and hardly any visible human characters, made by a christian man, is "cool" and the queer/minority focused series made by a queer woman is a cancer that must be expunged from all media

Respectfully, as a trans person, our identity being seen as a joke is a result of christian fundamentalists' determination to demonize anyone on the fringes of society. It's not the fault of other trans people or other queer people.
