Why the Canadian adventure? It’s been a difficult year, physical health issues loom, and the beauty of this country is grounding. Made it to Quetico tonight. Tomorrow we leave Ontario, head straight across Manitoba, then on to Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. Here we come, prairies 🇨🇦

I’ve been camping and canoeing in the Boundary Waters and Quetico since I was a boy. It’s one of the most amazing pieces of vast wilderness left that can be explored relatively easily by canoe.

This is IMPORTANT.

PLEASE GET INVOLVED.

The Boundary Waters don’t just belong to Minnesotans. They’re the birthright of every single American.

Why would we let a foreign mining company ruin them just so they can mine OUR resources, ship them off to China and enrich their shareholders?

A2 #ParkChat Probably Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario. We only stopped momentarily, before we realized just how great the campgrounds at the Ontario Provincial Parks are. We did stay at Chutes, White Lake and Six Mile Lake later in the trip. Quetico has some amazing hiking trails.

WTF 🤬

So about this video: Quetico LLC
Headquarters in Goodyear, Arizona tried to detain employees after telling them ICE was coming and blocking the door so they couldn't get out. Employees mention that management also went as far as saying "we will find you" if they were caught filming.

My first outdoor adventure was to the Boundary Waters/Quetico.
It changed my life. That was in 1968.

I don't know why Canada or Ontario isn't saying anything about this; it is essentially Quetico Provincial Park south of the border. What happens here affects us too.

58 miles in 6 and a half days, 2 of which were rest days, on a canoe in Quetico Park in Canada. About nine portages. Thank you so much to my Aunt Jenni for planning this whole trip and always being my adventure buddy

Hey Canadians, this is a huge issue. This mine will pump out millions of gallons of sulphuric acid that will flow into Quetico Park, Rainy River, right up to Lake Winnipeg. It's 40km from the border. It could be Sudbury all over again for Canadian lakes. And our governments are doing nothing. read:
