Arguably the most treacherous biome, these grand peaks are a transitory bridge between biomes, many of the Island's predators, great and small, venture to to gain territory. Its main residents however are the scavenging Argentavis and the high-soaring, terrifying Quetzalcoatus.

Also no surprise, dinosaurs!

It’s amazing that new species are constantly being discovered, and what we know is always changing. Would love to go on a dig if I ever get a chance.

(Included a quetzalcoatlus because they’re my favourite flying reptile. Land before time and dinotopia as well!)

Daily Dino Fact #5: Quetzalcoatus is the largest flying animal ever discovered. It was discovered in 1971. At first its ability to take off was not well understood as it would struggle to takeoff from a bipedal stance and would rely on a very light weight, until a quadrupedal stance was proposed.
