I’ve been to one of these and it was terrible. Don’t bother. I recommend, in order, QuikTrip, Sheetz and Spinx instead. (That last one is niche, and depends on the precise location.)
this is a boring answer but many industries have a couple of firms like this (QuikTrip, Chik-fil-A, etc.) and usually it doesn't "scale" to the entire sector (e.g. Chik-fil-A intentionally doesn't have enough stores to saturate demand)

They seem to be taking over a lot of local Conocos and Circle Ks. I have to say they do the convenience store thing very well. Then there’s another new kid, QuikTrip, where the workers all have a Pervitin before their shift.

The best tater tots I've ever had (outside of Sonic) were at a QuikTrip near my house. Perfectly seasoned and crispy.

The absolute worst thing about where I live is that no matter which direction I go from home, the Quiktrip is on the left side of a busy road. This is why I only get gas on the way home.
