Nextcloud Notes had a hiccup after Android updated so I took the opportunity to upgrade. Now I sync between Quillpad (mobile) and qOwnNotes (desktop) using Nextcloud. Quillpad is stylish and intuitive while qOwnNotes is very robust, and I can still edit the .md files in the browser using Nextcloud!

I need a new lightweight android notes app.
Google Keep and Quillpad are both really close (used both a lot), but afaict they doesn't let you hide labels/notebooks from default view.
Quillpad has extra problem that it's sync doesn't backup attachments. and 70% of my notes have those

I have Blacknote on my backup phone and Quillpad on my main, it's open source. I love Keep a lot and Quillpad comes very close.

@rachel just playing with Quillpad right now. I can totally re-order list items! Just have to convert to a list first :) I think I may switch to Quillpad for all my list needs!

Statt Gmail wieder IMAP mit Thunderbird. Google Drive ist jetzt Nextcloud, Google Notizen Quillpad + Joplin, Bookmarks sind bei Linkwarden auf dem Homeserver, Kalender nochmal Nextcloud. Und Linux statt Win! Vivaldi statt Chrome!

I shouldn't have spent a good few, or a couple of weeks choosing between 'Fossify Notes' or 'Quillpad' for what I'm mainly looking for in a notes-to-checklist type of notes app.
So in the end, I picked Quillpad since it has the 'attach files' thing and it also has a List feature as well, just like-

personally id say go with quillpad first if you wanna try both since notallyx can import directly from it while quillpad only imports itself (unless you use an external thing)

also i prefer the general layout of how images are displayed on notes better when it comes to quillpad

(well it supports colors but when importing it doesnt import the colors anyways ive decided i like quillpad more)

quillpad (f-droid.org/packages/io....) is cool it syncs with nextcloud you can also edit them in nextcloud and it supports all the features (afaict) that google keep does including colored notes (i use to find things)

I haven't tried it, no. I'm pretty well set on Emacs and Quillpad with syncthing in the middle. Will that be forever? IDK. But it works very well for me now, and it feels right, whereas all the others were lacking.
