So many run on margin, high debt/liability to revenue ratios, that a single disruption cascades into complete failure. There is no wiggle room. No opportunity for "a bad day/year". Not a good model.

These companies think that all it takes for a good proportion of cis straight men to fall for something is unusual waist to hip ratios and an ambiguous look. They think you all are not brighter than the average bear. That doesn’t piss men off? I would be so offended.

Using just the one image as an example, I went through all 21 channels of Sentinel 3 data and found a few with good contrast ratios. Over cloudless and calm seas the scaled sum of these channels does a good job of making the ships pop out. Might make for a nice background to plot AIS data against.

Using just the one image as an example, I went through all 21 channels of Sentinel 3 data and found a few with good contrast ratios. Over cloudless and calm seas the scaled sum of these channels does a good job of making the ships pop out. Might make for a nice background to plot AIS data against.
It’s a hunch, but I’d bet that filmmakers closer to the 1970s “ratio explosion” directors handled the later 2000s digital shift *much* better.
They’d certainly be ahead of the curve predicting it, and (hopefully) were less surprised when the digital ratios did hit.
