Paddy & I had a moment of real grin factor. His little MZ Saxon has 346,078 kilometres on it! Nice!
Sadly I missed out on the chance to get a picture of my R80GS standing next to it. But hey, this bike deserves the limelight all on it's own!

Love this. My R80GS had some niggles. I just could not work out what was going on. My mate Dave climbed on his bike & headed over… Messaged saying ‘Emergency rescue are go’ 😁

I was riding with Dave & Dan. Much better riders than I, they took care of me. But I like to think that they were impressed with how my R80GS Libby coped as well as she did on the chunkier bits. 😊

She is a bit in disguise! But you are very close. She's a 1992 BMW R80GS and now has 287,000 miles on her. 200,000 of those on an 8-year round the world trip. Amazing bike.

Interesting article. I’m in exactly this predicament. The only new bike that I’d consider would be a Guzzi V7 850.
However, there’s a whole lot of old stuff that I’ve been mulling over:-
BMW R80GS, R75/6, R80/100, R60?
Guzzi 850T3, Nuovo Falcone 500 Mil Spec?
Laverda SF3 750?
Triumph Tiger 750?
