We are up to our ears in kittens — and kitten season hasn’t even fully hit. Calls. Texts. Emails. Every single day. New colonies. Pregnant females. Friendly cats dumped at Altoona Lagoon and around the island. Well-meaning visitors feeding cats on vacation — with no plan for when they leave. 😿 Next week the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center has expanded surgery capacity for us Tuesday–Thursday. We need to fill those spots. But our USVI Department of Agriculture grant (due January 1) is still delayed — and the cats cannot wait for that check. Every TNVR costs us $55–$75. That’s what stands between one cat… and DOZENS more kittens. We love kittens. We don’t like seeing starving kittens. Kittens sick with panleukopenia. Kittens crying by the roadside after their mother was hit by a car. We have to get ahead of this.... This sweet grey tabby with the big ears was found today. She deserves a future that doesn’t include litter after litter. We are a small, volunteer-run nonprofit. We trap. We transport. We recover. We fundraise. And right now, we urgently need your help. Sponsor a surgery. Give $25. Give $55. Give $100. Give what you can. Let’s stop this before it becomes a full-blown kitten crisis. Donate today. Share this post. Help us fix more cats now. — R.E.A.L. Not all superheroes wear black vinyl catsuits! 🐈‍⬛
Huge thanks to Michelle & Raquel for trapping 36 cats for TNVR this week — and to the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center for the surgeries.
That’s $1,561 in lifesaving work made possible by your donations! 💚🎃

75% of the way to our goal. Anyone planning to travel to St. Croix this year could benefit from this.
Many kitten calls this weekend. Some we took in and some we gave supplies to the finders. Lots of KMR has been given out since no store on island carries it.
