Love my piston demo with a gnib on it. While I know I had a rocky start with it (only because I realized having a filled pen and carrying it onto an airplane is a bad idea), it’s really really great to never have to redip my nib.

Got some new inks and new nibs to try, including a Tachikawa holder and some Wearingeul Writers nibs, because I am charmed by dip pens. I love these nibs, the writing is flowing and smooth and the novelty of having to redip your pen every few words gives me a second to think about what I'm writing.

also holy shit booting a live environment off a usb 3 stick is WILD. just, kinda feels normal lol. I picked up a USB 3 dual type-A/type-C port drive and I love it :3

It’s designed for you to dip down, lift 90% of the way, blow, redip in quick suspension. Turning it would pour out the solution.

Yep! Only certain models will fit a G nib like the x750 Jinhao I had on hand from 2018! It's a nice hack to get around having to redip but avoid using India ink or it will destroy it 😖 There are different kinds of waterproof fountain pen inks to try in different colors too!

A fountain pen with the right extra fine or needlepoint nib might be the solution—they don’t flex the way dip pens do, plus you don’t have to redip them all the time.
