At the same time it’s very hard for organizations that do things like tenant support to not get additional funds when there is additional need. More people are renters & support for tenant orgs has always been underfunded. This is true for many nonprofits.

Its not really a myth, it just includes things that most people wouldn't count like houses waiting to be purchased, waiting for renters, and vacation houses and not just "empty abandoned houses"
