#REPORTERS
Forgive me if someone else has mentioned it before, but in the not-too-distant past the norm was for reporters not to allow editors or the suits see their notes. That would only come up in a case of accusations/suspicions of fabrication or some other kind of deceit on the part of the reporter.

How long until he pulls a Bjork on one of these female reporters

one of the news zone reporters was just walking through central park the whole time looking for a barn owl and we saw the whole thing and she never found the owl, but i bet her phone battery was going dead for sure

It fascinates me that these reporters still ask him questions...

It’s his denial and delusional thinking that give room for his lies…these reporters need to continue sharing the news of his failure with this president who lives in a bubble.

two things i’ve learned on parental leave:

1) i have no clue what im doing

2) there’s this crazy show on nbc called news zone and there’s like nine views behind the anchor at one time and reporters call in on facetime???

The reporters are going to ask until they beat it into the ground, and fair I guess, but I'm tired of hearing about KAT's contract extension. It'd be nice for the saga to be over but until then I guess it's inflammatory quotes for clicks

But mainstream media outlets all owned by hedge funds which are in turn owned by billionaires, and if reporters dare ask those follow up questions, they’ll likely be fired.

Mainstream media is there to prop up the broliarchy, not tear it down.

I don't know whether this is still the case, but @scripting.com used to refuse interviews, telling reporters instead they could quote what he has written because he is control of that context and completeness. I also prefer that to the cherry-picked 10-word sentence out of a 40-minute interview.

Meanwhile: "The latest expansion to the online review policy comes amid other press fights in Washington", writes @brieannafrank.bsky.social for @usatoday.com.

The USA of 2026 is moving closer and closer towards complete dystopia.

Excellent story. Great reporting.
But suing Fox is ridiculous. And they won't win. Fox didn't make the call to go in there that day. She wasn't even on the payroll yet they paid out more than if she had been.
Risk/Reward. Combat reporters know what they're getting in to. Bad scene but her call.

Actually, Dan, I wish complete audio & transcript of any interview I did was posted & linked so readers could see the full context, which is bleached out of conversations with reporters seeking that one quote to complete *their* narrative. If done openly (this was not), that'd be a better way.

Fox News is (probably performatively) seeking war crime charges against Russia for the killing of a couple of their reporters in Ukraine. But what's happening in Gaza is NOT a war crime. OK. Got it.
