I wish they could also retrofit the old trucks to be electric and also install AC in em. Love the improvements of the new duckbill trucks, but my nostalgia will miss the old boxy ones

I wonder if the trumps have plans between November 4, 2026 & Jan 20, 2027 to escape from the US on the sky palace, that Americans paid to retrofit, to a country where there's no extradition cooperation with the US.

There’s retrofit kits for classic cars where its not about saving $$ but having your amazing unique car futureproofed.

Just saw one for the 1970s VW beetle and I wish I had kept mine (they were still in production until 2004 in Mexico)

I think it depends on the show some greatly benefit from being turned into heroin addicted jazz critics while other have you scatching your head like why did they do that?

Arrow is a funny example as it's clear they tried to retrofit him into Batman for the CW.

Well, that consideration is treated as part of a retrofit assessment, when insulation is upgraded, which is the main system/ heat demand change. All these factors feed back into the learning applied within the technology.

The gov't just approved $66.3 million for home retrofit projects across Canada. 👏

"Retrofitting our existing buildings is one of the few actions that delivers a powerful triple dividend: lowering utility costs and emissions, while helping Canadians adapt to a changing climate."

This is treated as a retrofit cost now but will evaporate as it becomes the default.

It's not even that, it's 'most owner-occupiers in a three bed or up are probably planning to die in that house and don't really want to have to retrofit if need be'.

Byline Times: Scrapping the Future Homes Standard would leave new homes reliant on gas for longer and pass higher energy costs onto households, with solar cheaper to install during construction than retrofit later.

Conservative Plan to Scrap Solar Rules for New Homes Would Lock Millions Into Gas Use
Pledge to abolish the Future Homes Standard is branded 'a plan for poor housing and high bills' by fuel poverty campaigners, as the solar sector urges the party to think again

Energy insecurity is a widespread concern, with millions experiencing high utility costs and/or unable to meet their electric, heating, and cooling needs. Repairs can reduce energy insecurity, but those most in need are the least likely to conduct this work.

PhD Opportunity - Natural Fibre Insulation for Housing Sector
Buildings use about a third of global energy consumption, and about 40% of the total operational energy in buildings worldwide is used for space heating and cooling. We require warmer and cheaper to run homes to tackle rising energy costs and to ensure net zero. Home retrofit for enhanced energy efficiency is one of the key pillars of the net zero strategy of the UK. The UK Government supports home retrofit programmes by funding local authorities and social housing providers to adopt a ‘fabric-first’ approach—prioritising insulation upgrades before installing low-carbon energy systems. PIR, EPS, mineral wool and phenolic boards are commonly used for wall insulation. Whilst these insulations ensure significant progress towards lowering operational energy, the Embodied Carbon impact of the measures have been ignored by all parties involved. Furthermore, the current wall installation systems are designed mainly to limit the heat loss in winter months. However, recent years have seen a noticeable increase in both frequency and the intensity of summer heat waves. Homes with conventional wall insulation are more vulnerable to overheating in summer months. Whilst low thermal conductivity ensures wall insulation, the thermal mass of the insulation materials acts as a thermal buffer, absorbing excess heat during...

What are the challenges with mainline (vs metro) GoA4 trains?

I would imagine emergency evacuation (since response times from ground responders will be much slower), and having to retrofit all the dinky rural stations for track intrusion detection (or doors).
