Invite graphic saying I’ll be in conversation with Dr Abigail O’Brien in the RHA at 1pm on 9 Nov as part of Dublin Book Festival. And two lovely photographic portraits of us. Mine is by Clare Keogh. I’m not sure who took the photo of Abigail.

“This publication is a remarkable book… Lucid insights, formal courage and striking turns of phrase consistently demonstrate why Leach is one of the best art critics writing in Ireland today.”

🤩🙏 @emilymfg.bsky.social for this stunning review of my #RHA200 book! In Spring Irish Arts Review.
Shot of start of review of From Ten till Dusk. Reads, “This publication is a remarkable book. On the one hand, its experimental form runs counter to the historical reputation of the institution it commemorates. Indeed, antagonisms to the perceived conservatism of the RHA - which long resisted inclusion of 'new' practices like installation and performance - are a common refrain across several chapters. On the other hand, the academy's decision to commission Leach's work suggests that, two centuries on, the most established artist-run institution in Ireland can still delight, perplex and refresh ways of looking and thinking. Lucid insights, formal courage and striking turns of phrase consistently demonstrate why Leach is one of the best art critics writing in Ireland today.”
