I grudgingly agree. "Our" side is increasingly "morally intolerant" and absolutist, leading to single-issue voting, or not voting at all because of purity politics.

Plus we suck at messaging in a clear, concise manner.

If we don't adapt, we will lose our democracy but die with our morals intact.
There is a frustrating duality in the current political crisis in the US. I do actually believe there have been tangible failures in the manner in which progressive politics has communicated their values over recent years which has negatively impacted the manner in which the values themselves are now perceived. The murder of Charlie Kirk afforded a valuable opportunity for sincere introspection as to how rhetoric on the Left has created an inflexible dehumanisation of those with opposing views, but it is now impossible to do this without seemingly validating the baseless allegations from MAGA that places the blame for the current tensions entirely at the feet of "the Left". So I think it's important to be precise for those that are seeking to engage on this. I believe there are elements on the Left who have contributed to the current state of intense polarisation through their employment of moral absolutism; effectively telling anyone that does not unconditionally adopt their complete stance on key social issues that they are immoral, and thus subject to consequences of organised bullying campaigns and other means of collective intimidation and coercion. I think this has caused a visceral disdain from many otherwise moderate thinkers for what they see as a form of authoritarian thought policing. Rather than explaining the merit of these complex social doctrines with patience and empathy, they have been imposed primarily through fear of the consequences of non-compliance. As someone who often criticises tenets of the Left and Right, I of course experience both belligerence and good faith engagement from both sides. But there is often a pervasive fanatical self-righteousness from elements on the Left that tend to not only drown out more moderate voices, but openly denounce them with the same emotive condemnation that is directed at the far right. A believe a substantial reason for the rise of MAGA was a contemptuous reaction to these voices that began to resemble something akin to morality police. Trump broke all their rules, he said all the things that the Left had declared as blasphemy. What we saw as irredeemable ignorance and prejudice, they saw as defiance, and his rise offered a seducing liberation from what many feared was an increasingly strict moral rule book written and enforced by the "far left". This is one reason why the replication of this exact same behaviour by MAGA this week has been a particularly egregious example of hypocrisy. But while I offer up this concession of culpability from the Left, what is indisputably absent in any traceable quantity within mainstream leftist political movements is an inclination for violence against their adversaries. While BLM riots exhibited lawlessness and hostility to the establishment, these were overwhelmingly acts of aggression against property, not people. Yet when Trump supporters gathered on Jan 6th, they did so to chants of "Hang Mike Pence", with noose and gallows in tow. It's the right that organise into armed militias, and it's the right that have conducted the most deadly terrorist attacks within the US. It's the Right that routinely fantasise about the execution of Democratic politicians and create horrific conspiracy theories of child sex smuggling cabals to invoke the darkest of emotional responses from their followers. While I agree that significant parts of what is pejoratively called "woke ideology" can sometimes be insufferable, no one could reasonably identify any themes that demonstrate an ethical argument for acts like murder. It is, in my view, most perniciously motivated by puritanism, virtue signalling, and an inability to conceive of moral complexity; but it is not violent. Just like Trump's would be assassin, the young man who shot Charlie Kirk was not a member of any left wing organisations, does not appear to be an adherent of any known left-wing movements, and he was registered as an independent voter. But he was raised in a devout Christian family who describe themselves as Trump supporters. The only community he was known to be a part of was the notoriously alt-right gaming community. He MAY have had a Trans girlfriend, and MAYBE he killed Kirk because he said horrific things about the person he loved... but that has nothing to do with progressive ideology. That's a young man who doesn't know how to control his emotions having unfettered access to deadly firearms, and this remains the single greatest source or violence in the USA. Whether it's white kids shooting up their school or black kids shooting up their neighbourhood, these boys are killing far more people every day than political commentators on either side. So while I do believe there is a genuine discussion to be had about how progressive orthodoxy needs a reformation, anyone who suggest that the Left is the cause of political violence in the USA is cynically and unforgivably exploiting the murder of one of their own for a worryingly sinister political gain.

This flyer - purportedly from #LeagueOfWomenVoters - is how Rs will derail support for the ONLY way Democrats can fight back against their plan to steal this, and all future elections.

Data from KFF Health News illustrating how successful lawsuits have spared the blue states from a great deal of the blow to public health infrastructure funding. Red states sat back and are now royally screwed.
Red states hit hardest by cdc grant terminations before democratic-led jurisdictions filed lawsuits in april to retain their centers for disease control and prevention grants, terminations more closely resembled the distribution of cdc funding across the nation. after injunctions were issued in may and june, red states lost a greater share of public health infrastructure funding and support.
