Replied elsewhere but Hudson tunnel is obligated; match is provided by RRIF loans to both NJ and NY.

DOE-style loans to any transit projects meeting priority criteria, which follow best practices on procurement, and have a case for payback should be possible. Would take eminently doable changes to RRIF and TIFIA, existing federal credit programs + a DOE style capacity buildup in the federal gov.

My unpopular opinion is this is an insane perversion of RRIF and thus no wonder it didn’t work well.

Anyone else worried about their 401K (US) RRIF (Canada)? Not sure how tariffs are going to affect them.
