Trip to #RSPBBempton today. Pretty quiet but did see 4 stunning Lesser Whitethroat plus Chiffchaff, W Warbler, Blackcap, Common Whitethroat, loads of Tree Sparrow & Goldfinch. Good conversations too, but missed seeing a whale sp. breaching - looking in the wrong direction 🙄. @nybirdnews.bsky.social

Trip to #RSPBBempton today. Pretty quiet but did see 4 stunning Lesser Whitethroat plus Chiffchaff, W Warbler, Blackcap, Common Whitethroat, loads of Tree Sparrow & Goldfinch. Good conversations too, but missed seeing a whale sp. breaching - looking in the wrong direction 🙄. @nybirdnews.bsky.social

Took a 430 mile round trip by train on Saturday to see puffins on the Yorkshire coast. Saw one puffin, and tens of thousands of gannets. Pretty happy with the result!

Fantastic visit to #RSPBBempton. I know everyone loves the puffins, but for me, it's the gannets that really steal the show. Over half of the worlds gannets live in the UK, and Bempton Cliffs simply pulsate with them - they are just magnificent birds.

Very enjoyable visit to #Flamborough and #RSPBBempton yesterday with @markthebirder.bsky.social of @yorkscoastnature.bsky.social . Great guiding, friendly group and some unexpected birds, inc Hooded Crow and Greenland Wheatear. All the Auks were on show and 2 Razorbills at war.

Family run out to the North Star at Flamborough for lunch, which was lovely as usual.
