In a cohort of over 146,000 veterans RSV vaccine effectiveness was estimated at 78·7% (72·2–84·8) against RSV-associated emergency department or urgent care encounters, and 80·3% (65·8–90·1) against RSV-associated hospitalisation.

A preprint from Quebec following their universal coverage program for Beyfortus (RSV antibody) for infants found that it was *nearly 90% effective* in preventing RSV-related ER visits, hospitalizations and ICU admissions.

Great to see evidence over two seasons showing the profound positive impact of nirsevimab on RSV hospitalizations in infants. Hospitalizations were reduced by 86% for season 1 and 55% in season 2 in Spain.
