HAPPY HALLOWEEN #RWRBSKY

Henry let Alex pick the costumes and he couldn't resist getting Henry in an ascot and "looking all preppy" as Freddie while he put himself in Velma's skirt
(worked on these off and on since got the idea over the summer and they're okay enough now for posting)

I KNOW A GUY

Chapter 5/6: Henry - Part II

💞 Henry tells his story. Alex listens.
💞 Together, they find a way.

Chapter 5: Henry - Part II Excerpt from chapter: "Stop pretending you don't need me. It's getting old." "But I don't," Henry insists, sinking into Alex's touch like he's starved from it. Liar. "And even if I did… Alex, I hardly need to explain how much better off you'd be with somebody else. Maybe anybody else." "Aren't you gonna let me be the judge of that?" "Of course not," Henry snaps. "You're wasted on me. You can try to convince yourself otherwise, but that doesn't make it less true. You should be with someone you don't have to compromise for." "I think it's possible," Alex says, speaking a little slower, "that not being with you would be the compromise."

Chapter 4/6: Henry - Part I

🪢 Henry lets Alex have his way with him. Alex indulges.
🪢 There's only one problem with this arrangement.

Chapter 4: Henry - Part I Excerpt from chapter: "I'll use my hand first, then the whip. Ten of each. Will you be good and take that for me? Words, please." For some reason, that makes the look in Henry's eyes flicker—and when he answers, he sounds much too calm. "Please." His voice is lovely and smooth. Almost familiar, somehow. Still, something definitely took him out of the moment just then. Maybe he hadn't expected Alex to actually let him speak? Doesn't make sense, though; Henry had specifically asked to be allowed, but only when spoken to—and nothing but his safe word and 'please.' He must've been tripped up by the timing somehow, but his affirmation had been loud and clear. He still wants this. Makes two of them.

Chapter 3/6: Amir, Esteban, Lewis

💋 Dildos & Floggers Galore!
💋 Alex has a challenging experience with a new submissive partner. H helps.
💋 As Alex grows more attached, so does H. That doesn't help.

"How are you so great?" There's a soft chuckle down the line. "Well, thank you. You aren't so bad yourself." "But you're perfect. Genuinely. Do you know how badly I wish I could be what you need?" Fuck. Alex hadn't planned on admitting that. Like, ever. "I don't know about perfect," H says, each syllable carefully measured, "but I may have some idea of your dilemma." Oh. Alex has to sit with that for a moment. Turn it over in his mind. Try to find any interpretation other than the obvious. There isn't one, is there? H is in this with him. Same boat. Same predicament.

Chapter 2/6: Lukas

👀The second man H sends Alex's way takes great pleasure in humiliation.
👀... And has a lot to say about H as a dom.
👀Alex indulges in both.

Lukas tilts his head a little to the side. "You remind me of him, you know." "Of H?" "No, of Santa Claus. Of course H, duh." Alex has got to stop asking that question. "Does he look like me, or something?" "Not one bit." Oh. Interesting. "But he's one of the really good ones. Always one hundred percent focused on you. Not that he doesn't take what he wants—he does, and it's fucking great—but the way he over-delivers on you getting what you need should be studied. There should be classes. And he should teach them." There's a pretty huge compliment baked in there somewhere. Alex doesn't really have time for it.

Title: I Know a Guy Summary: Alex's entry into the world of kink is guided by H, an experienced dominant who sets Alex up with a curated selection of past lovers. It's a fucking excellent arrangement. Especially the part where Alex gets another orgasm out of each debrief with H, afterwards. Their sizzling chemistry makes little sense; as two dominants, they should be totally incompatible. But then why does every moment they share feel like a glimpse of a future Alex could never walk away from? Too bad H won't ever feel the same.

Paul, Lukas, Amir, Esteban, and Lewis. Five of Henry’s former lovers carefully selected to show Alex one hell of a good time.

Too bad Alex only has eyes for the man who set them up.

The first chapter of I KNOW A GUY hits AO3 on Sunday Oct. 18th.

#rwrbfic #rwrbsky #firstprince #comingsoon
A graphic with five sentences from the fic that read as follows: "Paul is seriously pretty. Lukas has his shirt tucked in and glasses perched high on his nose. Amir is a size queen. Esteban is in way over his head. Lewis is... He's alright, probably. Alex doesn't entirely manage to form an opinion. Henry is so beautiful." Between each sentence above is a simple little graphic separating one from the next. The first graphic depicts a ball gag, the second a dildo, the third a pair of handcuffs, the fourth a flogger, and the fifth two padlocks with heart shaped key holes. The padlocks are placed at an angle and overlap slightly, almost as though they're leaning into one another.

In another universe, I might've completed my current WIP in time for today. In this one, here's a snippet!

He's never actually set foot in a playroom like this—or in a BDSM club, period. Just navigating through to the private rooms had felt life-altering. There'd been so many people in all kinds of shameless getup, and he'd even caught a glimpse of a goddamn live demonstration. And it's all just there. One can go anytime. Why on earth hadn't H made this part of his education? Snippet above by everwitch on AO3.

happy WIP Wednesday!! the wip is finallly doing as it's told, and incidentally, so will Henry 😌

#rwrbsky #rwrbwip
Henry is so beautiful. Broad shoulders, strong arms, and a soft spot right at the dip of his waist. Miles and miles of utterly flawless skin. Deep blue eyes that pierce Alex's with an intensity Alex hadn't known to expect. It's like he sees into Alex's soul, or something. Henry is laid out on a padded bench, hands trapped in leather cuffs above his head and legs forced apart by unforgiving ropes. He's not gone easy on himself. It's practically an all access pass to his most vulnerable parts. If Alex was gonna offer himself to someone the way Henry will tonight, he'd probably have started a lot smaller. Only one way to honor commitment like that.

imagine: Henry pursues a master's at NYU, in international something-something because that's the compromise he had to make to get to go. he shares a class with Alex, and since Alex hasn't taken the time to make friends, the seat next to him is always empty. you see where this is going.

this is probably my favourite off-screen moment in the book: these texts that occur after Alex's bedroom, before polo. what do we think those texts actually looked like? 👀

#rwrbsky
Excerpt from Red, White and Royal Blue that reads: "You're doing what?" It's sooner than either of them expected - only two weeks since the state dinner, two weeks of wanting Henry back under him as soon as possible and saying everything short of that in their texts. June keeps looking at him like she's going to throw his phone in the Potomac. "An invitation-only charity polo match this weekend," Henry says over the phone. "It's in..." He pauses, probably referring back to whatever itinerary Shaan has given him. "Greenwich, Connecticut? It's $10,000 a seat, but I can have you added to the list." The part that reads "two weeks of wanting Henry back under him as soon as possible and saying everything short of that in their texts" is highlighted.
