The majority of hours I’ve accumulated was from when I played the game for the first time + DLC for the first time. (Which is again, when I was really young.)

I only play games with voice acting, but after hearing Dungeon Munchies’ two protagonists in Japanese—before and after turning into dough—I’ve decided: if CreSpirit ever adds a Japanese voice pack to Rabi-Ribi, even though I cleared it long ago, I’ll replay it.

10. Little Witch Nobeta (Game). Reminded me a lot of Rabi-Ribi (which is a good thing!). I can see the similarities to Dark Souls, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it'd be. It was quite a lot of fun though, and I'm interested in seeing how (if) the story builds upon this one in a later game.

The DLC added a Hardship Challenger sigil that apparently makes boss fights harder, and my god, we are BACK with rabi-ribi bullet patterns! These are some of the best boss fights I've faced in this game.

But those are more or less my ramblings on this game. I don't think I enjoyed it as much as Rabi-Ribi, but I still had a very fun time regardless. I kinda regret playing this on normal though, I felt like I breezed through a lot of the game... ah well.

Unfortunately, this game lacks the non-linearity approach in its world design like Rabi-Ribi had. I guess that came at the cost of a more focused plot. At least, I didn't see much major sequence-breaking potential.

Story is a lot more engaging compared to Rabi-Ribi. There's a more compelling narrative that leads our heroes all over the continent of Az. I was not expecting the plot to get so dire by the end.

Today, I just played through: Tevi. Overall a fun bullet hell metroidvania from the creators of Rabi-Ribi, another game I really enjoyed!
