I remember when all the early ebike adopters were buying radpowerbikes. also when vanmoofs were everywhere in nyc. vanmoof collapsed and was bought out, and now radpowerbikes is also on the brink. Glad I have a bike with a generic shimano motor.

It appears that my battery RAD-S1304Y is not one affected by the government's fire warning which encompasses different numbers RP-1304 and HL-RP-S1304.

The e-bike boom did not collapse from lack of demand. @RadPowerBikes sold 600k, @VanMoof 200k, and @Cowboybike ~100k. Scale did not guarantee long-term stability.

RadPowerBikes, Aventon, Velotric and (probably most of all!) Lectric are a huge part of the shift in e-bikes.
Average DTC sale cost is probably $1500; average bike shop sale is probably still $2500+. That gap is huge, and not including that makes the graph ~meaningless.

radpowerbikes is great too, really good- however the brand died in the eu so can only buy them 2nd hand - however all the parts can be replaced with non rad specific parts so its fine

Pedal assist coexists with a throttle often.
1=pedal assist only, under 15(?) mph
2=pedal assist + throttle, up to 20mph
3= both n' 28mph or more.
Throttle on 2 is fun! And perfectly safe. Love mine!

Intermittent power failure (like 3 or 4 seconds) initially, now display (eggrider) shows a voltage drop from 54v to 21v in like ten seconds, then doesn't bother to turn on at all.
