A recalibrating walk at the wetlands. Dawn came late with gusts of drizzle. Between them, useful bats dipping through a sudden density of mosquitoes; crepuscular jackrabbits (our March hares) bursting from the lacy banks of wild radishflower in panic. And back to the car just as real rain came.
