On to the final stretch for #RailAdvent and we move on to O gauge. No German model railway layout is complete without a Kleinlok, and this lovely Köf II is of course from Lenz. Like all Lenz Spur 0 locos it came DCC sound fitted and complete with driver.

#RailAdvent number 11 already! This model of an LMS 57' 1st/3rd corridor coach was produced (late 1970s?) by the late great Mainline Railways. It perhaps doesn't have the finesse of current versions from Bachmann and the like, but it looks good to me and runs lovely.

#RailAdvent 10 is this Class 08 from Bachmann. A lovely, smooth running model, but a nightmare to convert to DCC. It is sold as 'DCC ready' and comes with an 8 pin socket. However, the space is so limited very few standard 8 pin decoders fit it. I used a DP2X-UK-KA from Train Control Systems.

Todays #RailAdvent is first of a series of coal wagons. I like POWs in general, but coal wagons in particular. This model from Bachmann is very nicely detailed, and the black & white livery is lovely. Monckton Main closed in 1947, but the site continued as coking plant until 2014.

Another eBay buy, another 2-6-4T, another tale of woe! This Fairburn 4P from Bachmann was an alternative to the Fowler 4P featured yesterday. This is DCC ready with 8 pin socket, so no problems fitting a decoder. Sadly it is a terrible runner and hates 'set track' points.
