Snout. Historically a border region, the valley's northern banks shifted from Yorkshire to County Durham in 1974. This vintage travel poster features artwork by Frank H. Mason for the North Eastern Railway #RailwayPoster

🧵The forecast for the next few days looks good. This colourful railway poster, created by T. C. Dugdale in 1930 for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), depicts three summer scenes from a traditional seaside holiday in Bridlington. #RailwayPoster #Bridlington #Vintage

I'm thrilled to say I've been called on to create poster art for a real steam railway! 😀

The Avon Valley Railway now has this on display at their main station. More details below - please read on!

Dear Friends,

Henry has been feeling glum. The other engines were teasing him for his crash with the Flying Kipper.

To cheer Henry up I decided to make him the focus of my newest poster, to show everyone how strong and capable he really is.

Yours,
The Artist

The poster artwork I created for the Avon Valley Railway is now available as a print in my shop! 😀 (Link below)

I have more Sodor posters in the works, but I'm branching into real railways too. Are there others you would like to see?

One of my most popular Railway Series themed poster designs so far, this advertisement for the "Wild Nor' Wester" express service blends inspiration from two historic posters; 'Coronation Scot' and 'Scot passes Scot' (look them up)!

So pleased with this original lithograph #Carcassonne railway poster, circa 1919, bought at Pezenas brocante in Oct., spent Xmas money on the frame. The colours and gold are amazing for it's age, 120cm including frame, it’s good we have high ceilings. #autignacartiste #chemindefer #railwayposter #art

I would love to get a high res (color if possible) copy or scan of this poster, maybe a trip to the Public Records Office in North Melbourne would be the ticket?
