TO:LuCT has always been slightly abrasive to me in a sense. There's no route where you get to feel like a good person, and that's the point.
I definitely prefer getting to play Ramza. Clearly on the wrong side at the start, but he spends the rest of the game spitting straight fire in redemption.

I will never not forget having to start all of FFT over because I got blindsided so fucking hard by that one Wiegraf fight that the only solution was to completely rebuild Ramza from the ground up.

the way that ramza and delita are written as foils from the beginning in a way that carries through the entire story is just.. so great. it is really the core of the game's story imo which is probably why the scenes they chose to animate are basically 'everywhere you saw delita'

it definitely has its rough spots towards the end but it like.. has a lot of very interesting ideas within thematically and even if it doesnt quite deliver on a lot of that, what is there is pretty satisfying for ramza as a character and im glad that they didn't try to make a direct sequel to it LOL

Sure, but with Ramza and Themis it’s more a case of asset reuse, while when the game wants us to spot shard reflection counterparts it’s usually even more obvious than that. Also I think most people are already focusing on Garlean Ramza looking like Ivalicean Ramza to begin with.

I mean Ramza was created well before Themis’ model was. And while the faces share some custom facial data I think Garland Tools shows they aren’t identical (like there are more differences than just hair values).

I think it could be very fun if they find out about their ancients. Orpheus isn’t Azem like she thought she was. However, she was still apart of the convocation as Altima. Then obvi Ramza finds out he’s Azem.

My reasoning Ramza even gets dragged along is the fact he is actually Azem. Orpheus and him don’t know that yet!! So they assume he just got yoinked.

it's funny to me that ramza from final fantasy tactics is essentially mechanically nonbinary (there is a small attack stat difference between generic units but ramza has the higher of both)
