You know what would go a really long way toward preventing ransomware attacks like this? Banning cryptocurrency, the mechanism that makes the payments that drive ransomware attacks possible.

Ransomware threat actors aren't stupid. They know how to create maximum pressure. Ransomware actors also happen to have better customer service and follow-through than any tech company you've ever dealt with, which is funny but makes sense.

Trump Mobile customers had their personal data leaked by the ransomware gang BYOD. The dump includes names, emails, phone numbers, home addresses, etc.

The gang says the company responded to news of the breach with, “We have no team to handle this.”
