Either a brilliant example of power and technical ability or the result of a king gone mad? The bridge at Ravning Enge, west of Vejle, Denmark, is dated to around 980 AD and is a massive wooden bridge build over almost 800 meters of boggy terrain. The bridge only stood for 5 years.

Situated in the Vejle River Valley, this wetland used to be quite the obstacle for travellers. So in 980, under King Harald Bluetooth, vikings built an impressive 760 meter long oak bridge as wide as the double sided roads of the time.

a more impressive articulation of the architecture of power than the ring fortresses. It's also next door to Jelling.
Lindholm yes.
Isn't Borremose a bit early for Vikings?

I would go with Lejre and Trelleborg on Zealand.
Also... One shouldn't forget Northern Jutland. Lindholm is a given, Sebbersund - but also Borremose south of Gunderstrup.
94% of Danes don't know Borremose, and I feel that's insane.

Vejle Ådal is a soggy obstacle to movement N-S along the Jutlandic peninsula, and the later 9thC Ravning bridge across the valley is located ~400m south
