Noticed a couple of things learning Rayvis hitless:
1/ you can switch stance during combat with next to no delay, even mid-swing.
2/ you can pistol/force parry red timed attacks - but pistol doesn’t touch posture

I haven't yet beaten Vader but he seems pretty obviously to be Rayvis 2. Cal would likely wipe the floor with him. That's why they force you to use Cere, who has higher health and stance damage and nothing else

I feel like this is where the Souls-lite difficulty of the game really shows through. Most bosses can be overwhelmed with minimal defence and evasion and maximum aggression as long as you come at them from the right angle. Rayvis is more of a Soulsborne "it is now your turn" type

I should eventually finish it (I already beat Rayvis) but I’ve gotten absorbed elsewhere with playing Star Wars Outlaws so that’s been a lot of fun lately.

I think Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is stronger narratively, but Survivor is still solid. I know Dagan is a foil to Cal, but they needed to round him out so he had more going on than screaming "TANALORR" every other word. Rayvis was fun, but needed a bit more screen time to flesh him out too.
