Delighted that a local cheese & wine bar are using this opportunity to promote their wine refil service - no more bottles in the glass recycling, just bring it back, top it up, and they recork it for you. Genius.
There's strike action impacting bin collections so @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social have decided to just suspend ALL household recycling. We are supposed to get into our cars and drive to a tip (assuming we can book a slot). Fuck the environment, I guess.

This is good practice though! Everybody make sure you wait for a formal battle damage assessment and forensic identification before ringing any bells that cannot be unrung. That bottle isn't going to recork itself. And it's much harder to undo drugs you've already done than it is to do them later!

Well there's your problem, you need to run deoxidizer to undo the changes from oxidizer, THEN you run decork. Don't decork after you oxidize without deoxidizing. This was in the latest update, it was posted on the Slack they run with the Recork team

I keep a few empty half size bottles and 1/3 size bottles around so that when I open a new bottle for myself, I pour off half or 2/3rds, recork and refrigerate the rest. Keeps me from drinking the whole bottle usually.
