Os dicionarios de inglés din que “bargain” vén do francés antigo “bargaignier” (relear) e esta do protoxermánico “*borgan” (prometer).

Delighted to wish @annmorgan.bsky.social a happy #publicationday!

A book about leaning into uncertainty to see the richness in lit from across the globe, in three slightly different covers, with a foreword by @lucycaldwell.bsky.social that will leave you beaming. 😁

Pero para que relear polas farangullas? Que rebaixa nin que rebaixa? Penaliza/premia o prezo directamente. Pau e cenoira. Plata o plomo.

Have you ever argued with your family about line-height? I did and lost. 😵

New blog post about what happened and how it changed my view on web typography forever.

Whoop! We have SOLD OUT of the special numbered editions of RELEARNING TO READ and it's not even published yet! But don't despair, the paperback is available and comes in three slightly different covers. If you order one, it's a lucky dip. Or order three to be safe... renardpress.com/books/relear...

No nitpicking intended, genuinely curious… what did you mean by ‘we’ll that the maximum’?

I was lucky enough to take part in one of @annmorgan.bsky.social’s “Incomprehension” workshops as she developed her new book - it was mind-expanding and so much fun. RELEARNING TO READ will be out next year, available to pre-order now - I thoroughly recommend it! renardpress.com/books/relear...

It's honestly really suck because I have never felt so useless and humiliated in my life.

It took me 1h30 to finally be able to stand using the crutch and yet not move with them. It's so bad. I kept crying due to how pathetic U feel i need to relear how to use the bathroom.

On sitting down for a meal, everyone in my family raises hands and says “Itadakimasu,” a Japanese expression that means “I will gratefully receive.” The simple phrase expresses gratitude and respect for the effort involved in getting the food to the table,

Over on the ranty writing blog I had thoughts about weight loss, feet, and how plot and story interact.

If any of that sparks your interest.

I [dom] endorse this. While I agree that 'cosy' [aka 'cozy'] reading is great, especially when the mood requires, reading with edge sharpens the appetite! Life rarely has neat endings [death?] all tied up & delivered in a final chapter!
