So, this study suggests - these new e-ink writing tablets are terrific (I have a Remarkable2 and love it to bits - pictured) because you have to actually *write* on them, but you can just use paper notebooks to get the same cognitive benefits.

i hate my remarkable2 so much, worst fucking purchase of my life

USB wired connection mode stopped working for 0 reason and the only way to enable an SSH connection over WLAN is over the fucking USB connection

and so my only other options to get my files back is to pay for their monthly sync thing

I got a ReMarkable2 last summer and I love it so. Printed zero pages while doing final edits over several read-throughs prior to resubmitting my book ms. Highly recommended.

Exporting drawings from my reMarkable 2 to my PC looks like this now. Thank you, firmware update.
A nice drawing on e-paper on the reMarkable2 The drawing has been split in half by a 50% horizontal offset, and the top fifth of the images is not just pixel garbage.
