Rerooting itself was easy, but prepping the strands took me few days. I had to count how many hair to tie in a strand to use them all efficiently and

ALSO WHEN I'M decently good at it i would love to fix dolls for other people 🥺 (for free, not including costs of shipping or rerooting if your doll's hair is beyond this world tho...)

IF you decide to reroot, all you need is a needle with a decent sized eye cut at an angle and a pencil for a very shoddy but viable rerooting tool! but then you have to reroot and have enough hair to reroot so maybe its better as a last resort lmao

i've mostly been intending to do these as simple restyles without faceups/rerooting, MAYBE some touch ups on the makeup here and there to match outfits. but the extras are gonna be testing that with their damn poly hair. the colors are pretty! but boy. feels bad on the fingers.

Started rerooting my Dolly Parton doll yesterday, and can safely say that I picked the right shade of blonde for her. She's already broke two of my finer needles, though. 😭

Trying to power through and do one entire doll reroot at a time meant that I couldn't do a part that I was in the MOOD to do if the doll I was working on was already past that step. Currently rerooting a He-Man doll with luscious "Brown Sugar" hair down past his knees. It suits him. 🥰

Got some work done in my craft room. I've found that if I switch from doing mindless tasks like cutting a doll's hair off and pulling the plugs out to doing a bit of rerooting on another doll then painting and sealing another doll's scalp, I enjoy the whole process more.

i DO have all the stuff for the rerooting i just havent started it. because of fear. and also i keep forgetting it exists.
hilariously im also terrible at using my marker to add detail to shoes, lol. THESE TOOK SO MANY TRIES i need to like tape them up or something for cleaner lines and not be lazy.

Roleplay doesn't sound fun, creating art doesn't seem interesting. I'm just... feeling bleh. Rerooting dolls is as creative as I'm getting right now. I realize this is probably a type of depression, but it's not the one I usually struggle with. I'm not in a bad mood, or particularly upset.
