No one "fails three polygraphs". It's not a thing where they give you unlimited retries, because polygraphs are inherently horseshit
Can't recall public statement like this ever about a leak investigation in midstream

I got the bag expansion from the shooting gallery in like 2 minutes with a couple of retries. It's fantastic

What does one generated post cost in tokens? My CLI now shows you.

Creating or regenerating a draft, even via publish, now reports Anthropic input, output, and total tokens. Cache tokens and shortening retries count too.

I've been thinking about how we should configure retries for Playwright tests.

Right now you set a static value, usually something like 2, for the whole suite.

Don't throw new Error() in tool handlers.

It forces top-level JSON-RPC faults that break client streams.

Return { isError: true, content: [...] } with a remediation hint instead. The LLM reads it in-context, self-heals, and retries cleanly. 🛠️ #MCP #AI

Cost per right answer is the number that matters. Counting retries and the time spent checking output makes those comparisons much more honest.

For a first version, I'd cap retries and show the failing check, last attempted fix, and reason for stopping. That would give the person a clearer starting point.

It took me 4 retries to understand what this captcha was asking me to do. I should have asked robot to help me.

Nobody in web scraping has cracked outcome-based pricing. You're still paying for retries.

What we're building next: self-healing crawlers, and browsers that run anywhere.
