Carney is right on the substance, and timing is important. The IIHF softened its readmission rules over the years; a host country saying the flag stays home while the bombs fall is the correction that was overdue.

Six federations deciding the ice is not worth sharing with a country that bombs arenas shows the IIHF facing the consequences of its soft readmission. Canada not even needing a formal boycott says plenty. Russia wanted a seat back at the table, it got a cold shoulder instead.

You're confusing the merits of a policy with the obligations of membership. Britain is free to keep sterling and remain outside the EU. But if it seeks readmission, a permanent opt-out requires EU agreement. The burden is on Britain to justify the exception, not Europe to justify its rules.

Pt with Staph.aureus bacteraemia + spondylodiscitis. 8wks oral cefalexin, first half also with probenecid. Later had a relapse that seemed to correlate with dropping probenecid. On readmission probenecid was restarted then had rapid clinical improvement. So we took levels...

A study tracks time to hospital readmission, but a patient dies first. This constitutes a competing event rather than a standard censored follow-up. Treating competing risks interchangeably mathematically overestimates readmission risk. Not everyone who leaves a risk set leaves for the same reason.

One of the things I like best about the A.’.A.’. is that accepting money or other reward for work and services related to or in the name of the Order, including initiations, is automatic expulsion with no grounds for readmission.
