I think people are confusing their perception of reality for reality itself. “They dropped the ‘weird’ thing” can be disproven by showing late campaign appearances where they definitely say it, but the claim isn’t based on reality, it’s based on what people saw on their feeds.
I love Tim Walz, but this “the campaign muzzled Walz” common wisdom on here seems like revisionist history.
