We did not apologize then, and we certainly do not apologize now. It would be remiss of us to stand by and watch without comment or stance in this crucial moment in history on both sides of the 49th parallel north that divides (specifically) Alberta and the US. We are proud Albertans and Canadians. We are a company founded by an immigrant to Canada, and comprised and backed by multi-generational settlers to this land. To see the brazen act of treason perpetrated by a select handful of people who live in Alberta (they don't get the privilege of being called Albertans) by meeting with top-ranking US officials regarding being funded for separation is heartbreaking at best, and rage-inducing at worst. As we see the cities of the US, and where friends of ours reside, being torn apart by Nazi-wannabe government agents, is this what people are trying to bring into our borders??? If you haven't been paying attention and had the privilege of turning away, now is the time to look up and keep listening. International interference incited by Canadian citizens is happening. We do not want this on our streets or in our homes. If you're a business or person with a platform, now is not the time to stay silent. Use your voice and reach for the things that matter! Your silence is complicity. If you're an individual who cares, demand accountability and transparency from your UCP MLA on where they stand, and do not take any bullshit vague answers. Our Canadian sovereignty demands that we act, we are vigilant, and we are united against fascism in our borders. 🇨🇦 We are Canadian strong, now and forever, and we are blessed to be on Treaty Lands 🇨🇦

At 18C (65F), flags were flown and signs were clutched in the strong winds. We along with @ofmanyfandoms.bsky.social gathered to wave and greet people, as they drove by. We’re doing this till the government listens, or we have an election.

The business lot is always empty weekends and up today we could park in the lot. There were Security Guards posted stopping us from parking, unless we had legitimate business. They had the excuse of an unattended man-lift being left in the lot. Go Figure!
