personally i find all of steam's personalised reccommendations to be utter shit, recommending me things just because theyre popular (which the top sellers list is for), so honestly, i don't like this at all

I don’t think particularly highly of Third Way, find the intro of the memo condescending and think it unnecessarily reinforces the same harmful stereotypes of Democrats it purports to be troubled by, and flatly disagree with some of its reccommendations. But calling it a “blacklist” is false.

I agree, and we're still in the pre-enshittification honeymoon phase with generative AI. At some point, the companies who make these chatbots will start injecting advertisements (likely obscured as "rational" reccommendations) and political propaganda into output streams at scale.
