Filter your Ancestry hints to a single collection. I use this *all the time*. For new recordsets like the 1950 Census, Ancestry might make a filter for us, but this way you can filter for whatever record set you want. 🧵
Randy Seaver taught us this 6 YEARS AGO - so, at least once a year, I think it's important to remind everyone how to search their tree for hints within a single data set. Hints you've accepted won't show up, so it's really useful!

Filter your Ancestry hints to a single collection. I use this *all the time*. For new recordsets like the 1950 Census, Ancestry might make a filter for us, but this way you can filter for whatever record set you want. 🧵
Presumably this means that they only have enough staff for retrieving boxes and removing clips, staples and fasteners for the ordinary daily demands of researchers. I would guess they don't have the extra staff nor other resources it would take to prep entire recordsets for digitization.

😡 I find there's so much frustrating stuff with EFCore.
- Ambient Transactions .. just .. don't really work correctly
- Turn on EnableRetryOnFailure and now Ambient Transactions don't work -at all- and you need some extra 💩.
- Can't return Multiple RecordSets
So frustrating!!!

😡 I find there's so much frustrating stuff with EFCore.

I feel like Entity Framework is "teaching" developers to not think about database performance but write lots of simple queries.
For example. I can't:
- have multiple queries hit the db _at the same time_ (think parallel queries)
- Have a single network roundtrip with multiple recordsets
