Finally got around to printing with some recycled PET from 2 liter bottles made with my #Recreator3D by @joshuartaylor.bsky.social. This is a part I designed along with other parts to a protective case for an FTC driver hub.

It's more functional that the pictures imply, I actually made it tear itself apart a few weeks ago while stress testing it with oversizex strips of plastic:

I'm aware I haven't posted any meaningful updates on my #recreator3d but it's mostly fleshed out. I ran some pet strips thru it and snapped some of the weaker prototyped parts.

I'll admit I let the Chromecast autoplay about 3 hours of Adam Friesland Show episodes last night while I was tinkering on my recreator3d build... Got ads for 988 every single ad break.
So, backlog up updates:
1) finished printing everything except for PETG parts
2) PETG parts were really stringy so I swappes the nozzle for funsies
3) discovered I reattached nozzle incorrectly, had some bad prints due to blobs of PETG leaking around nozzle.

This however, is not a "pulltruder" but a standard plastic extruder. So you can grind up polymers and extrude them into filament whereas the recreator3d is only able to operate with (sometimes heat expanded) plastic bottles.
