Our Event38 E400 mapping drone had its first flight with the new AgEagle/MicaSense RedEdge-P dual 10-band multispectral camera this past week. Several of my students have FAA Part-107 licenses to fly it. Everything went well. 🧪🌊

Our drone is an Event38 E400 mapping drone w/ PPK GPS for ~4cm spatial precision. It can map ~100 acres in ~25 minutes & is equipped w/ a multispectral AgEagle MicaSense RedEdge-P w/ 5-bands & panchromatic sharpening for ~6 cm pixels. But we are upgrading to the 10-band RedEdge-P dual camera. 🧪

EagleNXT Releases a New, Updated Version of the MicaSense RedEdge-MX Multispectral Sensor
EagleNXT (NYSE: UAVS) announced the reintroduction of the MicaSense RedEdge-MX multispectral sensor on July 29, 2026, targeting precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and research markets. The updated sensor adds modern technology interfacing, greater durability, and performance enhancements while retaining its established role in reliable multispectral data capture.Production will occur in EagleNXT’s Allen, Texas facility on a dedicated assembly and test cell. Key features include a metallic enclosure for harsh environments, proven vegetation index bands, optional DLS 2 light sensor, broad drone compatibility, and seamless integration with EagleNXT processing and analytics workflows. The RedEdge-MX is now available through EagleNXT’s global dealer network.
