This is deeply personal and I'm sharing it with my #BlueFamily.
My #RedRelatives have been trying to use gifts and lunches and the LA fires to weasel their way into my life while I've been having a mental breakdown. I told them that I've been in extensive therapy everyday for the last few weeks...

As a white woman with half a family of #RedRelatives, I second this.

They were so worried about giving up their privilege and the ability to put others down so they could feel more important.

It's positively despicable.

But others - especially my sibling - took me by surprise. It wasn't until Trump emerged that she felt empowered to LIVE long-dormant racism and even misogyny against WOMEN (FFS!)

The MAGA half of my family are greedy and inconsiderate. They only care about themselves and are hate filled. They wear their white privilege like armor. 🤢

I understand about family better left unspoken about. I have half a family of #redrelatives and they don't understand why I don't want anything to do with them. My grandfather just died so I have to go deal with them on Thursday.

I don't know. I don't see the hatred for him like others are saying. At least in my state, PA, my #RedRelatives love them both. They think all of them are Christian family men.... Meanwhile, between Elon and Trump, you've got like 11 wives with 23 children.
