🌬️🇬🇧 Two new wind farms in East Anglia could power more than 320K homes.

Plans for projects near the Suffolk border have a combined generating capacity of around 425MW.

If approved, the wind farms would add more renewable generation to the region and help support the shift away from fossil fuels. ⚡🌱

Other macrophytes of the River Little Ouse at Redmere were plentiful River Water-Dropwort, a bit of Fan-leaved Water-Crowfoot (Ranunculus circinatus), less of Rigid Hornwort & big patch of Long-stalked Pondweed (Potamogeton praelongus) at the upstream end. #Wildflowerhour #flower #rivers #nature 7/8

The good thing about a relatively boring stretch of river, like the Little Ouse at Redmere, water (14°C) with poor visibility this overcast Sunday afternoon, is that you get to have a good, brisk swim without too many distractions.

Nearest thing I saw to sunlight on my snork in quite dull, shallow, dead-straight canalised reach of River Little Ouse at Redmere, were the remaining blooms of Yellow Water-lily. Arrowhead was the other dominant macrophyte. A few patches of Frogbit on the margins. #Wildflowerhour #flower #rivers 6/8
