The advice IS universal and I AM taking valuable lessons from it, but as a hard scifi writer, ✍️ I’m doing some necessary translation~

Clear practical sensible advice that makes the daunting prospect of editing manageable in bite sized chunks

Cons
Focused on discovery writers, some things didn’t totally translate to chronic planners such as myself

Got over the hump to resume editing the novel by setting a short term goal (500+ words today), as opposed to 'finish the remaining 40K words.' Secondary goal: just start and see what happens, no guilt if it's not perfect.

Working on the second draft, I'm currently less #RefuseToBeDone and somewhere between "Abandon hope all ye..." and "Give up and grab a beer." 😆

A few scenes to go before I consider the first draft completely "finished." Then I go through another round of #RefuseToBeDone. Hope to have it finished this summer.
