Researchers used passive cloth collectors (139 samples, 31 locations) and active mechanical samplers (173 samples, limited deployment) and recovered two STEC isolates from passive samplers and none from active samplers; presenters concluded that under current methods "air is a limited vector for STEC movement in this region."
