Ex post facto / retrospective changes in rules, regulations, and laws should be illegal in the UK. But they aren't.

Every few years somebody invents a new "technology" that immediately demonstrates why we have banking regulations
wow turns out having your money outside of the channels of state-controlled finance has its downsides, huh.

Trump DOJ runs scared from Jack Smith.

Citing regs concerning "current or former employees," DOJ tries to block BBC from deposing Smith about Trump and Jan. 6. Smith agreed to testify.

It cites grand jury secrecy, classified info privilege, exec privilege & more.

Why. They wanted currency unbound by pesky rules or laws or safety regulations, why do we care if they all steal from each other.

The only real use case is crime. If we can’t ban crypto entirely, we should set up banking regulations that make it extremely difficult to exchange for dollars.
Genuinely, the world would be infinity better if we just banned crypto

Elon Musk wrote a lot of words when "I fear a change in leadership in DC will (1) make it harder for me to get *another* $38,000,000,000 in corporate welfare from the government; and (2) that more regulations will be created to protect consumers from my dangerous products" would suffice.

I'll consider the USA to truly have voted itself out of misery on the day regulations kick in that ban politicians from doing really aggressive, exploitative pleas for donations saturating everyone's emails and text messages constantly in the exact way spam does

Mowbray interfering with democracy

Mowbray pushing free market - less regulations

The BBC's current narrative is that national net zero regulations mean that councillors are forced to greenlight solar projects even when they don't want them - which is always for reasons of aesthetics. Their "hands are tied", you see. This is a Reform narrative.

All the new regulations won’t stop this from happening; the perpetrators need to be arrested and face a judge. Better yet be thrown in prison and let the fellow prisoners serve justice

Regulations are the immune system of a society!
I am not going to try to tell you the banking system is good per se

BUT

a lot of that shit is the way it is for a reason, and the reason is literally hundreds of years of institutional knowledge of financial shenanigans

No job should ever be a death sentence. OSHA’s decision to roll back respirator mask regulations will kill American workers.

I joined @warren.senate.gov in demanding Trump’s OSHA immediately reverse these reckless rollbacks.

As an American, you definitely cannot shoot for the moon with homemade rockets. The FAA has very strict regulations for very good reasons.

Trump: "Tonight I'm officially terminating Biden's expensive and unnecessary methane regulations, to save consumers and energy producers $45 BILLION IN COSTS!"

Of course he will.
However, Musk may have violated state election laws, state data privacy laws, state environment regulations.
Hope he will face charges that the orange demon can’t pardon.

The tombstones — nearly 40 in all — were designed to protest two bills they allege roll back restrictions and regulatory measures on pesticides and favour corporate profit over the health of ordinary Canadians.
