#RemoteOptionNow
So grateful next #peoplesPEP will be remote as @NYCSchools @DOEChancellor acknowledged more engagement & participation. Panel member sed remote worked for many kids & we should learn.

...Like why not a full student #RemoteOptionNow if this meeting's now remote? #RestoreRemote

@DOEChancellor had to leave for another forum, otherwise I would've asked about ventilation, overcrowding, lies on summer school closure (sorry @DavidLove26!) But I did get to talk with PEP member @tomcsheppard who's been advocating a #RemoteOptionNow thank you!! #RestoreRemote

Update: we've got a declining roster of students; because of that my principal may be able to move my class to a classroom with windows. We'll see! 🤞🏻

I think we're about to see thousands and thousands move out of @NYCSchools because there's no #RemoteOptionNow #restoreremote...
Pic of my NYC classroom after 2 hours of work. The foot tiles helped me 3-feet distance all the student chairs, but there's no way I or adults in this windowless classroom can distance. Have 3 air purifiers, including one I own that actually has a HEPA filter, sigh. I'm worried.

I was fine tonight until I read the @UFT email, then remembered how many of my school's staff were out Friday. The anxiety right now is unreal. 3.6k teachers & 3k aides needing subs across @NYCschools. What the hell else has to give before we #RestoreRemote? #RemoteOptionNow...

My students are brilliant, I'm moving us into a new classroom w/ windows, more space, & a working smartboard Mon, AND I will continue to fight for safer @NYCSchools conditions, COVID testing & a #remoteoptionnow for students/fams who need it & to alleviate overcrowded classrooms.

4,355 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases since the 1st day of school. Please keep in mind that we had 2 days off in that time, so it’s not a full month. With everything going on, we are STILL calling for a #RemoteOptionNow

15 months ago, I made a promise to Education Council Presidents and swore an oath before God and witnesses to faithfully discharge my duty as a NYC School Board Member. To be quiet during this abomination would be a blatant violation of both. #RemoteOptionNow

Me and my kids sitting on the steps at Tweed. Letting @NYCMayor @NYCSchools @DOEChancellor and the people of this city know that we need a #RemoteOptionNow for our kids!

Thousands of parents across this city are calling for a remote option to keep their children safe. And that call is falling on the deaf ears of @NYCMayor and @NYCSchools. In protest, I’m keeping my children home on the first day of school. Who will join me? #RemoteOptionNow 🧵
