Committee members asked for precise glazing calculations, raised fire-rating limits that could reduce transparency, pressed the applicant to avoid a tunnel effect and questioned whether a large reproduction of Renos arch would dominate the skyway rather than complement it.

The Skyway Design Review Committee reviewed Jacobs Entertainments application for two elevated pedestrian walkways connecting the Jay Resort, received public comment both opposing and supporting the project, and pressed the design team on transparency, fire safety and signage; the committee chose Craig Mabus as chair and forwarded feedback to Planning Commission.
