When I first started Reply 1997 (Viki) I thought it was entertaining but not nearly as good as Reply 1988. However, now I am nearing the end of this show, I find that I have fallen in love with it (and all of the characters). I will be really sad to say goodbye :) #kdrama #reply1997

Of the Reply series, I have only watched 1988. So, I decided to start Reply 1997. It is not quite grabbing me in the same way (yet) but I am really enjoying all the chaotic energy, friendship and Seo In Guk :) #kdrama #reply1997

Watching #Reply1997 and #HerPrivateLife at the same time was an interesting contrast. They both feature a boy and girl who grew up together almost as siblings. Can that friendship become love? These kdramas answer that question very differently.

#Reply1997 is my fave of the kdramas I’ve watched lately, but I liked it, not loved it. The weakest of the Reply series, it was still worth watching. I ❤️ Joon-hee and Yoon-jae, but I ⏩ through the many scenes of the parents fighting. This show made me want to see more by Seo In-guk.

#Reply1997 is my fave of the kdramas I’ve watched lately, but I liked it, not loved it. The weakest of the Reply series, it was still worth watching. I ❤️ Joon-hee and Yoon-jae, but I ⏩ through the many scenes of the parents fighting. This show made me want to see more by Seo In-guk.
I’ve been watching #Reply1997 on Viki and the end of every episode is cut off and I thought I was missing just like 5 seconds but I looked up a recap of today’s episode and they cut off the kiss!!!!!!! 😱😬😾😖😡

I’m missing so many of the cultural references in #Reply1997. I’m sure this show is way funnier to Korean audiences. I’m on episode 6 and I just realized that dorky Hak-chun is played by the lead singer from Sechs Kies, the real 1997 kpop band the characters are fangirling over.

#LeeIlHwa plays a mom in both the kdramas I’m watching this week: #Reply1997 and #HerPrivateLife. But between 2012 and 2019 she must have had a rough life. Or maybe some bad plastic surgery. Or, you know, maybe we all get old.

After 3 episodes, I’d say #Reply1997 is the weakest of the series. I find myself grateful the episodes are only 40 minutes long.
But #SeoInGuk, who never struck me as especially handsome In his photos, turns out to be one of those actors whose looks improve as he acts. I’m enjoying his scenes.

After both @zhangrei.bsky.social and I posted songs from the Reply series, I decided it’s time to watch #Reply1997, the only #ShinWonHo kdrama I haven’t seen. From 2012, it’s also the oldest kdrama on my to-watch list available on Viki.
was hoping #kdrama #TyphoonFamily ep 2 would spark something in me but despite the great cast I just don’t care about the story and especially Taepoong. #Reply1997 set the bar too high 😔

A top 3 for me! I don't even mind the goat noises. I also enjoyed #Reply1997 altho not quite as pure gold. Haven't watched the third one yet (1994?). I know this may sound crazy, but I recommend #GhostDoctor as your next watch if you haven't seen it, and you'll see why. It's a good segue.
