I agree, also life in prison without parole is infinitely harsher than the death penalty. I’ve lost two brothers to dui, my daughter was in the route 91 mass shoooting and was seriously injured and I still believe this. Give them decades of suffering with no hope of reprieve.
I do not think we should have a death penalty. I don't think it is any kind of deterrent. I think it's barbaric. I think it makes us all worse people. All of us.

When TN tried earlier this year to execute Tony Carruthers, blood began oozing from him. Execution was called off. He got a one year reprieve.

Reading about this today was horrific. The whole story is; that woman lived so much trauma and then did something unfathomable. TN has botched 2 executions this year, I feel like there should be some way to stop them. They gave the man a 1-year reprieve but they may have completely disabled her

It was a particularly callous and vicious murder however it’s appalling that at the last minute she was given a reprieve, then she was told she was to be executed, they tried and failed whipped her off to hospital to do what? Save her life so they can take it? It’s beyond cruel at this point imo
