Importantly, the reason Medicaid work requirements fail is that *we do not have real time data on *who* is working*.
sucks to suck for those lazy ppl that they have to work now to get something that the rest of us all work and pay for
The Medicaid work requirements come into play on January 1st, 2027 - two days *before* the new Congress sits.

Most states don't have the infrastructure in place.

This is an excellent insight into the limits of training-data transparency requirements.
California and the EU now require AI developers to summarize their training data. But “uncovering the contents of training datasets alone is insufficient to enable meaningful accountability,” writes Vanderbilt’s Will Orr, who outlines four ways to make dataset transparency meaningful.
What Training Dataset Transparency Mandates Hide
Transparency mandates won’t build accountability while the practices, standards and rationales shaping AI systems stay hidden, writes Will Orr.

Tying urban elected officials’ hands with endless study, outreach, and process requirements for reconfiguring street space is not progressive. We should be able to build stuff and quickly change it if it doesn’t work.
In post-blue-wave Mamdanistan, "neighborhood divided" stories are now banned. The overwhelming success of Proposal 3 shows that residents are very much *not* divided over bus and bike lanes. We don't have to play this game of finding three people who are upset about something everyone else wants.
Prospect Heights residents divided over proposed bike boulevard, B65 bus changes
A petition opposing the city's proposed bike boulevard has drawn more than 2,600 signatures, while supporters say the changes could make streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians.

When New Hampshire tried to institute work requirements voluntarily a few years ago, they found that they couldn't get it to work.

If they had gone through with it, it would have effectively kicked *everyone* off Medicaid.
