Yeah it was pre-pandemic when a training a co-facilitated for RAs with another professor and ResLife staff on privilege and power was recorded by a student who was trying to start a Turning Point chapter at the university. They also have a professor watch list. And they're not alone.

i was in college during the height of “woke 1” that everyone is disk horsing about and like. it was chill? and i was on reslife staff so part of our job training was those seminars and like. they were good. the whole point was making sure our classmates didn’t have a hostile environment

If I had my mezuzah taken down because some ResLife apparatchik said I didn't fill out the correct permission form (and there's literally a religious accomodation form), end result would not be pretty.

As a retired director of ResLife at a Texas college, I am proud to report I’ve hid my fair share of expired visa students. Knowingly, willfully, intentionally, and proudly.
I also did my best to keep the sheriff out when I knew they were fishing.

This is the only Door Dec of hundreds from my time in ResLife that I keep Up. It was given to me by an RA in Aug 2020, height of COVID and right before I moved across the country to start a new job. I struggled with that transition and seeing this every day honestly helped me through that time 🥰

Finally, a potentially good move by my alma mater - though I worry NB & trans students might be pressured by administrators to live there, so as to make compliance w/ Ohio's new, idiotic law easier. Will it be a safe space or "separate but equal?"
